Networking – Meet other alpaca owners and breeders in our area. Find out which veterinarians have camelid experience. Get info on the mills that produce the nicest finished products. Learn helpful health and nutrition tips from industry veterans. The list goes on and on!
Education – You pick the topics and we bring the experts! At monthly member meetings, we provide education on a variety of subjects including proper feeding, pasture management, fleece skirting tips, etc…
Industry News – Stay current on alpaca happenings locally and abroad. Hear about upcoming events and shows.
Marketing
The Alpaca Exhibition and Fleece Show – This annual event continues to grow at a phenomenal pace! The Exhibition is a great opportunity to sell your alpaca products, educate the public about our industry and have your best fleeces evaluated by AOBA-certified judges. Don’t miss this opportunity to get your first ribbon on this spring’s shearing.
EVAA website – Currently, this versatile site lists our member farms and events, and links to your farm website, providing one more opportunity for potential buyers to find you.
Fiber Industry – As a group, we work together to advance the fiber market in our area – through our annual show and participation in other shows, through product sales and through the very growth of our alpaca herds. We continue to explore new opportunities to develop large scale production of alpaca products in the United States.
Alpaca Research – In the past, our affiliate has provided financial support to the Alpaca Research Foundation. The ARF issues grants to research projects throughout the country, including many performed right here at Oregon State University.
Our Membership year is the calendar year, January - December.
